Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can control them — all in line with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide information to the site owner, and to remember your preferences.
Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). They can also be "first-party" (set by us directly) or "third-party" (set by a service we use, such as an analytics provider).
PDPL Notice
In accordance with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) issued by Royal Decree No. M/19, as amended by Royal Decree No. M/148, and its Implementing Regulations, we obtain your informed consent before placing any non-essential cookies. Consent is opt-in: every optional category stays switched off until you choose otherwise. You may update your preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
Cookie Categories We Use
Essential Cookies
Always ActiveThese cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. Without them you cannot navigate the site or use its core features. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| mit-ksa-cookie-consent-v1 | Stores your cookie preference choices (browser local storage). | Until you change them |
| Language preference | Remembers your selected language (AR / EN) (browser local storage). | Until you clear your browser storage |
Security & Anti-Spam
Always ActiveOur Contacts page uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated bots from abusing the contact form. It loads only on that page, and only when the form is displayed — it is not present anywhere else on the site. Because the form would be overwhelmed by spam without it, we treat it as strictly necessary and it is not switched off by rejecting optional cookies. Google may read or set its own cookies for this purpose, and the contents of your message are never sent to Google.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _GRECAPTCHA (recaptcha.net) | Set by Google to assess whether the contact form is being submitted by a human or a bot. | Up to 6 months |
Functional Cookies
Functional storage enables enhanced features such as the embedded Google Map on our Contacts page. The map is provided by Google LLC and loads only after you opt in otherwise a placeholder is shown instead.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| NID, SOCS (google.com) | Set by Google only if you enable the embedded Google Map on our Contacts page. | Up to 6 months |
Analytics Cookies
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers or cross-site identifiers. Page visits are recorded in privacy-preserving server-side logs (page paths only no IP addresses or advertising IDs), as described in our Privacy Policy.
None currently set.
Marketing Cookies
We do not currently set any marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, the consent banner will ask for your explicit consent before any such cookie is placed, as required by Saudi Arabia's PDPL.
None currently set.
How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
You have several ways to control cookies:
- Cookie banner: Use the banner shown on your first visit to accept, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category.
- Cookie Preferences link: Click "Cookie Preferences" in the website footer at any time to review or change your choices.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies via their settings (usually under Privacy, Security or History). Note that disabling all cookies may prevent some parts of the site from working.
- Google services: cookies set by Google (for example when you enable the Maps embed) can be controlled through your browser settings or your Google account privacy controls.
How Your Choice Is Recorded
Your cookie choices are saved in your own browser's local storage under the key mit-ksa-cookie-consent-v1. They are not sent to our servers and are not linked to your name, email address, or any other identifier — we cannot tell who made a particular choice.
Because the record lives in your browser, clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, or switching to a different browser or device will erase it. When that happens the consent banner will appear again on your next visit, and no non-essential cookies will be set until you make a new choice.
Until you actively choose, every optional category stays switched off. We never treat continued browsing, scrolling, or closing the banner as consent.
Withdrawing Your Consent
Under the PDPL, withdrawing consent must be as straightforward as giving it. You can withdraw at any time by opening Cookie Preferences in the footer and switching off the categories you no longer want. The change applies immediately — for example, the embedded map on our Contacts page reverts to a static placeholder without you needing to reload.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything that happened while your consent was active. Any cookies already placed on your device by a third party remain until they expire or you delete them through your browser settings.
Questions and Complaints
If you have a concern about how we use cookies, please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), the competent supervisory authority for the PDPL, at sdaia.gov.sa.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for regulatory reasons. Please revisit this page periodically. Significant changes will be signalled through a new consent prompt.
